My name is Jon Smith. I am a libertarian. I find that the Libertarian Party has a lot of improving to do, and I would like to help with that. I enjoy writing, and I enjoy debate. Not arguing, mind you, reasonable debate, where emotions are held in check and thoughts and ideas are presented in reasonable fashion.

I am an entrepreneur. I have started or been involved in the start-up of over a dozen companies, including several I am currently involved in. Most have not made me a lot of money…yet. All of them have been a great learning experience. I believe in potential, and often I chase potential too much, but it is a part of me that I am not willing to let go of. I don’t give up that easily.

I have a wonderful girlfriend who is also an entrepreneur, and who I like to spend time with. Often that impacts my business and my writing, but I find relationships more important. In the end, every dollar you make or lose is the same. You can get another just like it tomorrow. But people are unique, and their perspectives are invaluable. Nothing can replace a good relationship, and nothing harms you more than a bad one.

I like to write, I hope to one day develop my ideas and my writing into actual books, full works of fully developed thoughts. In the mean time, I hope you will join me on my journey of thought development as I write in this blog.
