Baby Steps, Part 5: Old Legislation

One of the many things disenfranchising voters is the existence of out-dated, unconstitutional, or simply foolish legislation. The process for overturning such law is rarely undertaken, and seems rather inefficient, or, at least, the motivation for such action is non-existent except in cases where old legislation is in blatant violation of civil rights or other key issues, such as slavery laws or laws pertaining to women’s rights.
